What does Fractional Human Resources (HR) mean?

Fractional Human Resources (HR) otherwise known as hr outsourcing is a contractual arrangement between a small business or start up (you) and an independent contractor or LLC (me) in which the HR management/hr operations for the business is outsourced to the contractor who provides guidance and support on specific HR needs on a short-term, part-time basis. That can look like helping you hire your first employee, creating an employee handbook, implement a performance improvement plan, performing benefits administration or liaison with a team member who needs an accommodation to perform their work.

How does fractional HR support differ from traditional in-house HR?

Small businesses and start ups typically have small teams and don’t require a whole HR department to meet their needs. However let might need a business partner with hr expertise to help them meet their business goals
